LPR: Tradition, Innovation, and a Forward-Looking Vision
From Workshop to Global Leader
LPR, the Italian braking systems specialist headquartered in Piacenza, has built its reputation on over 70 years of expertise, guided by the motto “A long experience for a short braking.” Founded in 1952 by Pietro Arici in Brescia, the company quickly evolved under the leadership of his son Luciano. A major turning point came in 1977 with the move to Rivasso d’Agazzano (Piacenza), followed by the opening of the San Nicolò a Trebbia headquarters in 1999—an advanced facility combining administration and production.
LPR’s global vision led to the opening of a state-of-the-art production plant in Zhuhai, China, in 2005, strengthening its presence across Asia and enhancing its reach in over 80 countries worldwide.
Full Control, Full Quality
LPR’s strength lies in its total control over the production cycle—from research and raw materials to assembly, packaging, and logistics. This complete autonomy ensures maximum quality and allows the company to stay agile in a fast-changing industry.
The company’s range of braking components—discs, pads, drums, shoes, hoses, pumps, and more—meets the needs of both OEMs and aftermarket clients, with compatibility across nearly the entire European car parc. A constantly updated online catalogue guarantees customers easy access to product data and availability.
Certified Excellence
LPR’s relentless pursuit of quality is backed by an impressive set of international certifications. Its facilities in both Italy and China hold ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 certifications for quality management and operational excellence. In addition, LPR complies with the ECE R90 regulation for key braking products and holds ISO 14001 for its strong environmental practices.
These recognitions reflect LPR’s dedication not only to producing top-tier components but also to ensuring long-term sustainability and continual improvement across all departments.
A Green Approach to Industry
Sustainability is not just a trend for LPR—it’s a cornerstone of its corporate ethics. Since 2012, the company has heavily invested in photovoltaic technology, installing solar panels across its facilities to reduce reliance on external energy sources. Today, with a combined power of 5,500 kW and the latest upgrades implemented in 2023, LPR covers up to 65% of its energy needs with solar power, significantly reducing its environmental footprint.
On the International Stage
Trade fairs remain a key part of LPR’s strategy to connect with partners and showcase innovation. After the great success at Automechanika Frankfurt 2024, LPR is already preparing for its next major appearance at Equip Auto 2025 in Paris, taking place from October 14 to 18. The company will welcome visitors at its dedicated stand in Hall 1, H 100.
Investing in the Future
Looking ahead, LPR continues to grow with the same drive that has defined its history. A brand-new 15,000 sqm warehouse is currently under construction next to the San Nicolò headquarters, with completion expected by October 2025. This expansion will boost logistics efficiency and customer satisfaction, thanks to greater storage capacity and faster order fulfilment.
With a blend of experience, innovation, and a strong commitment to sustainability, LPR thanks to its continuous investment and clear vision moves forward with confidence, ready to meet tomorrow’s challenges head-on.
