Pro-Tec Group of companies was established in 1996 by its founder, Mr Charlie Tan, as a family business concern. The Group started off as a trading company of auto parts. In order to retain control over quality of products, the Group started manufacturing activities via Pro-Tec Industries Sdn Bhd (manufacturing of rubber moulded parts, ignition boots, ignition coil parts) and Pro-Tec Wire Industries Sdn Bhd (assembly of ignition wire sets/spark plug wire/ignition leads).

Pro-Tec Group is involved in the manufacturing and distribution of Original Equipment (OE) and Aftermarket/Replacement (RE) high performance automotive parts. We manufacture ignition parts to Original Equipment Manufacturers like Proton, Malaysia and Peugeot, Middle East. Todate, we produce and export to 42 countries worldwide for various brands globally.

The main items manufactured and distributed are Ignition Wire components (Ignition Boots, Ignition Terminals, Ignition Tubes), Ignition Wire Sets/Spark Plug Wire Sets/Ignition Leads and Ignition Coils.

Trade-names that Pro-Tec uses are Protec, Sportshot and Vortec. ProTec is registered Trademark belonging to Pro-Tec Industries Sdn Bhd, Malaysia.

Pro-Tec achieved its ISO certifications from Kiwa International GMBH of Germany for its rubber moulding and wire assembly operations..
